Elon Musk Warns Employees Against Using Apple Devices

Elon Musk, the visionary behind SpaceX and Tesla, has issued a stern warning to his employees: refrain from using Apple devices. This comes as Apple announces its plans to integrate OpenAI technology into its products.

Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, made this announcement at the company’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference. Musk, however, views this integration as a severe security breach. He insists that visitors surrender their Apple devices at the entrance, where they will be securely stored in a Faraday cage.

Musk, a co-founder of OpenAI, now spearheads a competing startup, xAI. This ambitious venture recently secured $6 billion in funding and is constructing the world’s most powerful supercomputer for AI training in Memphis, Tennessee.

Musk has openly criticized Apple’s decision, labeling it as “utterly ridiculous” for not developing its own AI and instead opting to license what he refers to as “intrusive spyware” from OpenAI. He argues that Apple is oblivious to the implications once they hand over your data to OpenAI. In his words, “They’re betraying your trust.”

Musk further criticizes Apple’s claim to ‘protect your privacy’ while simultaneously handing over your data to a third-party AI that they neither understand nor can create themselves. According to Musk, this is a clear violation of privacy.

Since establishing xAI, Musk has repeatedly criticized OpenAI, accusing it of neglecting AI safety and prioritizing profits through its partnership with Microsoft. He even filed a lawsuit against OpenAI in March for breach of contract after it established a profit-oriented subsidiary, 49% owned by Microsoft.

OpenAI, however, dismissed Musk’s legal claims, suggesting that the billionaire was merely resentful of its success without his involvement.
