Amazon’s Bedrock AI Meets SAP’s AI Core: A New Era of Enterprise AI

AWS and #SAP are joining forces to offer transformative cloud-based solutions, empowering businesses to fast-track the adoption of generative AI using their unique data.

In an exciting expansion of our partnership, Amazon’s innovative generative AI platform, Bedrock, will be accessible via SAP’s robust AI Core infrastructure service.

Enterprises leveraging SAP’s solutions will have the opportunity to utilize a diverse range of large language models, including the powerful Anthropic’s Claude 3, to supercharge their AI applications.

“Being the first cloud provider certified to support the SAP portfolio, AWS has been the trusted choice for thousands of enterprises running SAP solutions to maximize the potential of their mission-critical applications,” stated Matt Garman, the incoming CEO of AWS. “Today, AWS and SAP are streamlining the process for companies to integrate generative AI into their core business data, enabling them to become more efficient, agile, and sustainable.”

Under this agreement, SAP will harness the power of AWS’ Graviton4 chips to drive workloads on its HANA Cloud service. SAP, already a user of AWS’ Graviton3 chips, attests to the hardware’s ability to deliver a 30% improvement in running analytical workloads.

SAP will also utilize AWS’ specialized AI hardware to run AI and machine learning workloads, including the Trainium and Inferentia chips.

SAP engineers have demonstrated the capability to train and fine-tune large language models in just two days using AWS’ AI chips, a process that would have taken 23 days using Amazon’s EC2 instances.

Businesses can also explore a range of embedded use cases on RISE, SAP’s comprehensive suite of AI tools on AWS.

Amazon’s satellite broadband network, Project Kuiper, will leverage RISE to enhance supply chain and manufacturing processes.
