AI Business: How does AWS help customers implement AI-powered solutions in production?

Rahul Pathak: It begins by identifying the customer’s needs and working backward. Customer obsession is central to our approach, but true success lies in determining the business value you're aiming for. Once that’s clear, gaining leadership buy-in is crucial, and from there, we identify what AWS can provide to achieve that goal. Ultimately, aligning AI solutions with business outcomes is the key to successful production.

We've seen AI used in major sporting events, like the Olympics and Wimbledon. One of the customers here today is F1. What did AWS do with them?

F1 is highly data-driven, capturing telemetry every millisecond. Our partnership has been extraordinary, from making F1’s media assets cloud-accessible to using generative AI to enhance broadcaster engagement and creating new ways for fans to interact.

We’ve supported vehicle telemetry and the design of the 2022 car by using AI, machine learning, and generative AI to index F1 data and historical footage. This not only improves predictive insights but also enhances engagement for F1 teams, broadcasters, and fans.

How do AWS tools help companies develop their own code?

BT has embraced Q Developer, a generative AI assistant for every phase of software development, from planning to deployment and maintenance.

By using Q Developer, BT has auto-generated 300,000 lines of code, with a 33% acceptance rate—meaning 100,000 lines of AI-generated code have been successfully deployed. This improves productivity, enhances developer experience, reduces tedious tasks, and allows teams to achieve more.
