By choosing AWS’s cloud solutions as its preferred provider, GE HealthCare aims to leverage Amazon’s Bedrock platform to develop specialized AI applications that enhance patient care.

GE HealthCare’s developers will utilize AWS’ AI-powered Q Developer for application development, receiving coding suggestions to create solutions based on multimodal clinical and operational data. Additionally, GE HealthCare plans to modernize existing applications using foundation models developed with Amazon SageMaker, a platform for building machine learning systems.

The company will use SageMaker to develop models for web-based medical imaging applications and integrate AWS solutions like HealthLake and HealthImaging to analyze diverse patient data.

“This collaboration with AWS allows us to build on our legacy of innovation by harnessing AI to expedite the creation of medical technologies that will redefine clinical workflows and care delivery,” said Peter Arduini, GE HealthCare’s president and CEO.
